Cinco
Five findings a week on AI research and market, with sources, every Tuesday at 7am.
- Edition no. 1 goes out Tuesday, 8 September 2026, 7am
- Weekly · Tuesday, 7am (Brasília time)
- Free, no sign-up to read. E-mail only to receive it.
- 2026
One person reads a couple of hundred things a week and hands back the five that change a decision — source one click away.
- People who build with AI and need to know what actually changed, not what was announced.
- People who decide purchases, hiring or architecture and want the result before the opinion.
- People starting out who prefer five explained items to fifty headlines.
- The edition
- Five entries with the same anatomy — what it is, what was demonstrated, what was not, why it matters, for whom — and an opening note from the reader.
- The e-mail
- The same edition in your inbox, Tuesday 7am, no promotions, one-click unsubscribe.
- The entry
- Each item becomes a permanent page in the Archive, with theme, level, source and the trails it appears in.
- The card
- Each entry produces a 1200×630 card to share on LinkedIn — the same one used as its Open Graph image.
- The RSS
- A feed of published editions, for those who read in a reader.
- 1Monday morning: the pile
Around two hundred items from the week — arXiv, repositories, official documents, announcements — go through an AI-assisted triage that extracts metadata and flags what deserves reading.
- 2Monday afternoon: the reading
About forty items are actually read. Twelve survive the question that decides everything: does this change a builder's decision in the coming months?
- 3Monday night: the check
Every number in an entry is checked against the primary source. Self-reported is marked self-reported. What was not demonstrated goes to the right section.
- 4Tuesday, 7am: the five
The edition goes out as a page, an e-mail and cards. The five enter the Archive with a date — and stay there.
- Sep 2026Edition no. 1 — the open model got too cheap to ignore
- Oct 2026Edition as a LinkedIn document (five-page carousel)
- Dec 2026Retrospective: the year's 65 entries, what aged well and what did not
- Mar 2027Edition no. 26 feeds the first Radar
Anatomy of an entry
Every entry answers the same questions, in the same order. That is what makes one week comparable to another.
- What it is
- One sentence a technical person understands without opening the source.
- What was demonstrated
- Only what has a number, a table or a reproduction. With the condition under which it holds.
- What was not
- The gaps: no independent reproduction, no code, no price, no deadline.
- Why it matters
- The decision that changes — engineering, product, purchasing or policy.
- For whom · level
- technical, decision-maker, beginner · introductory, technical, advanced.
- Source
- Type, authors, organization, date and the original link. Press goes under 'read also'.
- Why we chose it
- One honest line on the criterion that let this item in and not another.
Cinco is GenAI BR's central product. Every Tuesday, five items chosen from hundreds of papers, launches and documents, each with the same anatomy: what it is, what was demonstrated, what was not, why it matters, for whom — and the original source one click away.
Each item becomes a permanent entry in the Archive, organized by theme and level, and feeds the reading trails. The edition also exists as a page, an e-mail and a LinkedIn document. The format does not change: repetition is what builds the reader's habit and the citer's trust.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Reading is free, no sign-up. The e-mail is only to receive the edition.
- Can I republish an entry?
- You can quote with a link. To republish in full — internal newsletter, intranet — write in; the answer is usually yes.
- How do I suggest an item?
- ola@genaibr.ai with the primary source link. Press suggestions without a primary source do not get in.
- Why only five?
- Because five fit in one person's Monday of actual reading — and because five a week, for years, is worth more than fifty in one week.
