In one sentence

Six months of Cinco condensed into a decision map that fits on one slide — and stands on 130 entries.

For whom
  • 01Engineering teams setting the stack for the next six months.
  • 02Consultancies and integrators that need an independent reference to cite.
  • 03Leaders who want one picture, with the evidence behind it.
What you get
The map
Four rings — adopt, trial, assess, hold — across four quadrants: models, tools, techniques, practices.
The page per item
Every dot has a page: what it is, why it sits in that ring, what would move it, and the entries that support it.
The diff
What entered, left or changed ring since the previous edition — the most-read part.
The files
PDF to print, PNG of the map for your deck, CSV with every item and ring.
How it works
  1. 1Harvest

Every entry of the half-year becomes a candidate. Nothing enters the Radar without having passed through Cinco.

  2. 2Position

Each candidate gets a ring with a three-line justification and its evidence list.

  3. 3Contest

Ten technical readers get the draft two weeks early and argue every position. Disagreements are published.

  4. 4Publish

Map, pages, diff, files. And the date of the next edition, already set.

The four rings

A ring is a recommendation with a horizon, not a value judgment. Anything can change ring; the rule is to say what would change it.

Adopt
Enough evidence to use in production today, in the context described on the page.
Trial
Worth a pilot with a success criterion defined before starting.
Assess
Promising, but without independent reproduction, price or maturity to decide.
Hold
Cost, risk or contrary evidence make adoption a likely mistake in the next six months.
Why it exists

The Radar organizes models, tools, techniques and practices into four rings — adopt, trial, assess, hold — and records what entered, left or changed rings since the previous edition. It is the artifact designed to be embedded in team and consultancy decks, and the starting point of company briefings.

The first edition comes out in March 2027, built on the Archive's first six months of entries. There is no Radar without Cinco: every dot on the map is an entry that has already been read, checked and dated.

Questions
Is it like the Thoughtworks Radar?
The ring format is a declared homage. The difference is the ballast: every dot links to sourced entries, and the diff is public.
Can companies sponsor it?
They can sponsor printing and distribution. They cannot move a dot between rings — and that goes on the cover.
